It’s my pleasure to introduce our speaker. Considering that he was born without arms, simply overcoming that challenge would be impressive enough. But as we will witness today, “Overachiever” would be a much better word to describe this man than “Disabled”. His list of achievements and awards has been growing since the 1970’s when the world began to notice his amazing abilities as a sign that he had the potential to do great things.
He has literally dozens of distinctive awards, including Outstanding Young Canadian, Mount Royal University’s Most Distinguished Alumnus and Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee Medal recipient. He has an Emmy Award for one of several documentaries on his life and even played a character on the hit TV show, “The X-Files”.
He is a Certified Speaking Professional having spoken to over two million people on five continents and is also author of the Canadian Bestseller, “Alvin’s Laws of Life”. He is also very generous with his time. Since 1976, he has played a direct role in raising over 175 Million dollars for charity. His dedication to humanity even led to him being the sole inductee into the Canadian Professional Speakers Hall of Fame in 2009!
Ladies and Gentlemen…Alvin Law!
